I have the silver version ice maker. Titanium? Anyway, I use it in my home at parties as well as camping. I fill it with distilled water and it makes ice pretty good, even in hotter weather. It's not super fast, but is reliable enough to keep the cooler cold and fairly well stocked with ice. I would definitely buy one again!

We bought this ice maker in March of 2006 and have used it constantly in our motorhome. We are full timing and It is still going strong! It stores easily in the basement when traveling and we would certainly buy this again. It was money well spent!

We bought out Roam ice maker yesterday (11/1/08) at the Greenwood, Indiana Camping World store. The first one the salesman brought out was a returned model (It still had the UPS return label on it!!) the second one, which we did NOT open, was purchased. When we got home and
opened the box, I was appalled to see water in the unit. This was also a return! I tried calling Camping World to talk to a REAL person, but only got voice mail. I left a message during their posted working hours, yet received no return call. We have had the unit running and making ice all day
today with no problems, it makes 10 cubes at a time, varying from small cylindrical cubes (perfect for crunching on ^_^) to medium to large. Minimal wait time between completed cubes. I filled 6 one gallon zipper storage bags in 1 day! I definitely recommend this product, but CHECK IT BEFORE YOU BUY IT!!!

The product works great, but you should be aware of two factors:
FACTOR 1. The ice maker is not insulated, and is not intended to store the freshly made ice cubes. After making the cubes, they melt quite quickly if not removed and placed in a cooler or freezer. And a fresh batch of cubes is dumped approx every 15 min.
FACTOR 2. After filling, the water will be used up in about 1.5 hours.
My point is: The ice maker works great, but it takes a LOT of attention. Someone has to keep a close eye on things or you won't get near the ice production as you need to make it worthwhile.

What a simple, fast and convenient way to make ice. It is being used at home now but can't wait to take it to Florida this winter. We used to spend $2.50 or more each week on ice, now we have as much ice as we want. We will recuperate our expense for this ice maker in no time!

This machine makes ice really fast and is easy to operate. Keep in
mind that these things aren't built to store the ice only make it. You
should remove the ice promptly or it will melt and the machine will
recycle the water. I make up a bunch of ice and then store in freezer
bags or an ice bucket. Using the ice directly from the maker the ice
cubes are very wet and melt quickly. The best way is to freeze the ice
after its made in your freezer. This way the ice cubes last longer. Also
keep in mind these aren't designed to be operated 24/7 round the
clock. After it is done making ice, I unplug and drain it until I need to
make more ice. Great little ice maker!

I purchased this ice maker, received it quickly, but when we set it up it
was an 'out of box failure'. The ice full sensor did not work and stayed
on constantly so the machine would not make ice. I called to get
return authorization and ordered a replacement. The replacement
came and had the exact same problem. We will be returning this
product for a refund (twice).

We are camping in the South and just bought this a couple of
weeks ago. It has been GREAT. We are using a lot of ice
each day and I couldn't be happier with this purchase. It
makes ice real fast. It is easy to use and the ice cubes
fit in our water bottles as well as work nicely in our
cooler. Once the ice is made, I put it in a bag and stick it
in the freezer. 2 months ago I would have thought an ice
maker was a little extravagant but this thing is paying for
itself.

As fulltimers, there is a choice between food and ice, well now you can
have both. This is a MUST accessory. Ordered it on Monday and
received today. Had ice in 10 minutes.

Ordered this just before the July long weekend and had it shipped to Canada. This little machine just chugged away all weekend in 30 degree heat, sitting on the table outside the trailer providing loads of ice. As long as you keep adding water, it will keep making ice. Plan to use it again on the August long weekend and have recommended it to lots of people. Small and compact!

I ordered this online on june 24th and used it just a couple times,
used it for a few hours on july 4th and the ice sensor broke. It kept
saying it was full of ice when it wasn't. let it sit unplugged ovenight
and still not working. Taking it back to camping world tommorrow.
